Villa swimming pools are flanked by wide teak decks fitted out with sun beds and shaded areas for those moments when you just can’t take any more sun. All villas have ocean views that will make your jaw drop … naturally. POOL & BEACH: OK, where do I start? Once you tire of your private infinity pool, head down the hill to the beach club which must be situated on one of Koh Samui’s prettiest beaches. Two beachfront restaurants and perfectly positioned beach loungers make this one fab beach club. The pool flanks the bar and has ample bales and sunbeds to laze away the day. This is where you will spend most of your day … guaranteed.

SPA & GYM: I didn’t get to experience either across my one night stay but a quick peek uncovered some very impressive facilities.

RESTAURANT: Take your pick! Two beachside dining venues (Pla Pla and CoCoRum) are barefoot tropical in style. My favourite though was dinner at KOH Thai Kitchen and Bar – could this be Samui’s most romantic restaurant? Head here at sunset for a 180 degree view of the coast and beaches, it’s stunning. You have breakfast here too, one of the chicest buffet’s I have seen … trust me!

BAR: Take your pick, beachside at CoCoRum or on top of the jungle at KOH Bar, both deliver tasty tropical cocktails and delicious bar food.

KIDS: Most welcomed – take a 2 bedroom family pool villa set up with king and twin beds, a third child can be a accommodated on a roll-away. With one of the best kids club facilities on the island, featuring Spa for kids, family cooking classes and their complimentary Kids For All Seasons programme – no one is going to get bored!

GETTING THERE: Jet to Koh Samui (via Singapore 1h45m or Bangkok 1h5m).  Once you land you will be met by one of the smiling team from the hotel and whisked to the resort in a luxury SUV (including WiFi … naturally) in about 30 minutes.

LOCATION: Secluded. It’s at least 30 minutes drive to Chaweng Beach so you will never need to know it’s there! Come here for total tropical immersion and seclusion.
