I welcomed the New Year in the company of good friends in Tasmania, just outside of Launceston at a fabulous European inspired B&B called the Red Feather Inn. Here you luxuriate in complete chic serenity… take no notice of Hadspen, where the Inn is located, it’s all part of the hidden allure as you drive through the suburban streets to reach it.
Red Feather Inn is situated fifteen minutes from the centre of Launceston making it the perfect spot to base yourself for a night or two AND you must visit my new favourite restaurant (where I dined New Year’s Eve) STILLwater. Please don’t miss this one… it is truly outstanding and I loved everything about it, you can go for breakfast , lunch and dinner.
Two nights in Launceston should do you nicely so you can also squeeze in a visit to Josef Chromy Estate (for a sunny lunch in the vineyards), enjoy a riverside lunch on the Old Launceston Seaport at Mud Bar & Restaurant and don’t forget to make a reservation at the Black Cow Bistro for dinner, it’s a retro butcher shop glammed up with the hottest tables in town.
There you go … three fab days in Launceston!
Hey Brent,
It’s Brooke from http://www.worldofwanderlust.com here – so glad to see you have made your way to my hometown of Launceston, Tasmania! Great picks in both food and accommodation, you couldn’t have done better!
Now I’m craving a night at StillWater after reading your review!
Best,
Brooke
