- After Venice we travelled to Mira Porte in the Venetian countryside just 20 klm’s outside of Venice to stay the night at the wonderful, family owned Villa Franceschi, dinner was at their exclusive gourmet restaurant La Margherita.
Villa Franceschi is a cluster of 16 century villas within a 33,000m2 private parkland and it is extraordinary. My suite was housed in Villa Padronale, in one of the four Junior Suites facing the great hall on the first floor, it was the best sleep I had on the entire trip, those Italian linen sheets are yummy!
In the morning after breakfast we headed to Milan!
