Luxury LONDON!

Dorset Square Hotel

DORSET SQUARE HOTEL

Forgive me , I am back blogged as I still have to tell you about a couple of properties I visited in Europe when I was there in December …. so hang on it was fun, ultra glamorous and the first stop was London!

I jetted in on Etihad – my new favourite airline. It was a fab flight from Sydney, their service is beyond compare … and seriously, if you can handle the narrow bed (I can) you are going to love it. The spunky chauffeur greeted me on arrival at Heathrow (luxury airport transfers all included in the airfare) and quickly whisked me to my first stop, the new Dorset Square Hotel. Now you all know my addiction to any Firmdale property so I simply had to experience the latest jewel in their London portfolio first hand and first up!

My room was ready on arrival (thank you Craig!) and it was everything I thought it would be and more, Kit Kemp the owner and Design Director at Firmdale has given the hotel the chic makeover that it deserved. The property was the first hotel Tim and Kit Kemp opened in the 80’s , they have now bought it back and popped it back where it belongs, on the top of the London Boutique Hotels list.

My room was of course gorgeous with one of those dreamy Firmdale beds and their signature bathrooms you can spend hours in. How Kit decorates these rooms and suites in their signature individual style impresses me with each stay and she gets it right … every time. I loved the cricket theme throughout the hotel ( and I am the most UN sporting person you will meet!) and the Potting Shed Restaurant right there in the basement is the perfect place to breakfast and meet friends for lunch, dinner or a drink at the bar. The location of the hotel is fabulous too, it’s right near Marylebone High Street with all the best shops like TRUNK … this is menswear collection heaven!

Think about staying here … really, I know you love Number Sixteen as much as I do but this is a great alternative and gives you the opportunity to explore a different part of London like I did. It’s fresh and fabulous, just like you!

Two nights at Dorset Square Hotel did me nicely, it was then off the Bulgari Hotel London …..
