Island hopping in the Maldives has been ultra glamorous (I can’t lie) and a whole lot of fun to say the least. I want to tell you all about the resorts I experience on this trip once I get back, but for now, a quick catch up of life, island hopping in paradise.
After three planes… and a boat ride I arrived at Six Senses Laamu on Olhuveli Island in the Laamu atoll ,it’s the latest “bare foot luxury” beach resort offering from the chic Six Senses Resort Group.

After arriving late into the night, I was swiftly transferred to my overwater villa (No. 11 – perfect position , close to the restaurants and bars along with being very private.) Upon waking I was instantly swept away with its raw natural beauty and luxe amenities…this is a seriously one luxurious island castaway resort. Days were spent swimming off the expansive deck, lunching in all of the restaurants and drinking in all of the bars….oh and a bit of snorkelling.. I have to work up to that!
After three very relaxing days at Laamu I then flew back to Male to connect with the seaplane transfer to Mudhdoo Island in the Baa Atoll… it is here that rests the very new (and very gorgeous) Dusit Thani Maldives.

It is day four here at Dusit Thani Maldives as I compose this post and I am completely taken by this exquisite jewel of an island, its lush and raw, with the right amount of luxury… a stylish combination of Maldivian charm and warm Thai hospitality pervades. Also, I can’t forget to mention that it has the best house reef for snorkelling I have seen so far, right off the beach in front of my villa I can swim straight out to the most amazing coral reef and crystal blue drop off. Words cannot describe how untouched and fabulous it is.
Could this be my favourite island resort? You will have to wait and find out!

Friday I head to another new resort, NIYAMA Maldives by the per Aquum group (they run the very stylish Huvafen Fushi) so am thrilled to be seeing this. Another seaplane transfer coming right up!
I will then spend my last three nights at the glamorous Huvafen Fushi, but lets not talk about going home just yet…
More updates from the islands soon!
